The Republican Marathon of Youth and Students takes place in our country from June 21 to 30 under the slogan “Moladz.by: creating a quality future!”

The focus is on increasing the status of youth and their role in the socio-political life of Belarusian society and the state, as well as uniting them based on the best traditions of continuity of youth movements.

The organizers are the Ministry of Education jointly with regional (Minsk city) executive committees, relevant ministries and departments, the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, public associations and formations.

During the round table in Belta, Tatyana Simanovskaya, Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of Educational Work and Youth Policy - Head of the Youth Affairs Department of the Ministry of Education, emphasized that in Belarus youth policy is one of the most important directions of state development. The main task is for young people to actively participate in all spheres of life: social, public, economic, political. In this regard, the ideas and projects of young people are fully supported.

Material and regulatory conditions have been created in the country: decrees of the Head of State are in effect, grants from the President are allocated. For the second year, young initiators of interesting projects receive funding to implement their ideas. There is also a government decision to support youth initiatives specifically from public organizations.

Tatyana Simanovskaya also noted that government agencies work effectively with public organizations and formations: “This is an important direction, because each of the public organizations and public structures has its own goals and sector of influence on a certain category of youth. Thus, we get a large-scale system of maximum coverage of young people aged 14 to 31, and our young scientists up to 35 are actively joining the work together with youth parliaments. It is a good start, because we provide the opportunity to any young citizen to choose a field of activity in which he is interested, be it research or parliamentary work.”

Of course, the most important thing is the emphasis on the implementation of projects aimed at patriotic education and formation of values of our youth. The entire state youth policy is based on this.

In general, during the ten-day Republican Marathon of Youth and Students, about 150 major republican and oblast events will be organized.

Every day is thematically packed with events. Today the marathon will be held under the auspices of the Day of Science and its popularization among young people. Events are organized both in camps, schools and universities.

Next up is Sports Day. Basketball and football tournaments, sprints and bike races will be held in the regions. In addition, a republican FIFA cyber tournament will take place.

After the Sports Day, a Day of Traditions will be organized with visits to museums and thematic exhibitions, and meetings with talented people are planned.

On Kindness Day, visits to social shelters, nursing homes, and shelters for homeless animals will take place. Marathon participants will also provide assistance to elderly people.

Youth and student creativity days will be held on June 29 and 30. The days will be marked by extensive concert programs with creative performances to be held in all regional centers of the country. In addition to concerts, youth tourist rallies and cover band competitions will be held these days.

Thus, every young person can join the marathon and prove themselves with dignity.
