Education Ministry of Belarus launches a large-scale career-guidance project “University Holidays” for 10-11 grade students. Starting from 3 November and during autumn school holidays, institutions of higher learning will keep their doors open for high school students to help them make a conscientious choice of their future career.
The project is to become a systemic career-guidance tool and will be held on constant basis during autumn, winter and spring breaks. Depending on a university, the format might be called “Student for a day”, “Student for a week” or “PROF-holidays”.
School students gain an opportunity to learn about educational programs and dive deep into students’ life. It means: talk with curators, representatives of the students’ self-guidance communities, scientific communities and representatives of personnel-ordering companies. This will help applicants see what their future career will look like and see job perspectives.
