Recently, a joint meeting of the organizing committee on preparation for two significant events: IX Congress of The CIS teachers and national pro skills competition for teachers “Belarusian teacher of the year – 2026” took place at the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus. Discussing key issues were ministerial leaders and heads of the main departments on education from all over Belarus.

Main events:

1-2 October. IX Congress of The CIS teachers in Minsk. Delegates to discuss integration in education, to discover scientific and technic achievements of our students and to visit distinguished historic and cultural Belarusian places.

In the frames of the Congress, a IV International festival of pedagogic skills is to take place (Categories: “Teacher”, “Psychologist/social teacher”, “educator”). More, 8 thematic sections will work for teachers to discuss a wide range of issues regarding education in the Commonwealth.

21 September. Belarusian teacher of the year – 2026 national competition to kick off with a solemn opening ceremony. Few days later, on 2 October, the winner’s name will be heard around the country.

This year, the year of a Belarusian woman, 65% of participants is female!

No need to say the percentage reflects the nature of the Belarusian education. Women form professional and personal identity of a teacher, which means their wisdom, patience and talent daily change lives of our kids for better.

Finale is soon

In September, the activities of the IV (final) stage of the competition will take place. The participants of the final have already immersed themselves in active studies. From 22 to 26 June at the Academy of Education they will undergo a thematic training. Sessions with leading specialists in adult supplementary education and past winners will help educators prepare for challenges and psychologically set themselves up for the title fight.
