
How to choose one's profession out of the variety of professions and not to fail for years to come. This question for the country's education system has not been an asterisk problem for a long time. Special educational programmes on career guidance are designed with an eye on the future. Innovative teachers implement advanced methods in the educational and creative process, starting from kindergarten and elementary school.
Then schoolchildren and gymnasium students are invited to try their hand at various competitions among their peers. Thus, several days ago students from different parts of the country gathered at the Minsk State Linguistic University for the Young Researchers' Meeting. Among the participants are the winners of the final stage of the national competition in English, German, French, Spanish and Chinese.
The young polyglots were welcomed by Olga Kondrashkina, Chief Specialist of the General Secondary Education Department of the General Directorate of General Secondary and Preschool Education of the Ministry of Education of Belarus, and Victoria Sinyak, Head of the Department of Educational and Research Activities of Students of Minsk State Linguistic University.
The best of the best were awarded during the conference. The ceremony of awarding the winners of the final stage of the national contest will be remembered by the participants for its warm and friendly atmosphere. More than 30 children received diplomas of the Ministry of Education of various degrees of merit. Research works of nine students were awarded with MSLU diplomas.
The program of the Conference was more than saturated. Schoolchildren were invited to take part in master classes and popular science quizzes from the Council of Young Scientists of MSLU. The program also included a lot of career guidance meetings. From the university action "One Choice - a Thousand Possibilities" to the nationwide "I Choose a Profession".
At the end of the Conference the event organizers wished all the participants new achievements in scientific activity and further success in their studies. And the guys outlined their plan for the Unified Open Day. Recall, it will be held on March 23, 2024. More than 300 universities and colleges of the country will present the opportunities of educational institutions to future applicants. Organizations-customers of personnel will join the big event. According to Sergey Pishchov, Head of the Main Department of Vocational Education of the Ministry of Education: "On the first day of spring vacation all universities and colleges of the country will open their doors for applicants, their parents and teachers. They will be able to get comprehensive information about educational opportunities of educational institutions, conditions of education and peculiarities of student life, about the rules of admission. The children will also get acquainted with potential employers, who will tell them about the prospects of future employment".

The Unified Open Doors Day is aimed at developing the system of national education and effective use of human resources, promoting self-determination of applicants in choosing a profession, as well as informing the public about universities and colleges, staffing needs of organizations.
