The final stage of the national professional skills competition for educators, "Teacher of the Year of the Republic of Belarus," will take place in Minsk from September 21 to October 2, 2026.

Sixty-three educators will participate in the final rounds. This year, the competition features nine categories, including two new ones: "Young Teacher" and "Young Principal of an Educational Institution Implementing General Secondary Education Programs."

During the final stage, participants will demonstrate their professional knowledge and pedagogical expertise, present their own practices, and take part in various competitive challenges.

The grand opening of the competition and the participants' self-presentations will take place on September 21 at the Palace of the Republic.

Masterclasses will be held on September 22–23, open lessons on September 24–25, and a comprehensive written assignment on September 28.

The competition’s super-final will take place on September 29. Participants will attend a "Conversations About What Matters" briefing and conduct a mini-lesson on stage based on a topic proposed by the organizing committee.

The awards ceremony for category winners, laureates, and participants will be held on September 30.

On October 2, the Palace of the Republic will host the closing ceremony and the award presentation for the winner of the "Teacher of the Year of the Republic of Belarus" contest—a national competition showcasing the professional excellence of educators.

The contest has been held in Belarus since 1991, with over 10,000 educators participating over the years. It provides a platform for teachers to share their professional experience and best practices, as well as to demonstrate modern approaches to teaching and student development.
