This year, the republican information and educational campaign "Step to Success: Funny Summer - Interesting Meetings" continues to attract attention of young people across Belarus. Its popularity is growing for good reason. The campaign unites a variety of areas, including education, science and youth policy, making a space for a real dialogue between teenagers and those who shape the future of the country.
A vivid confirmation of the project's success was the meeting of the pupils of the children's health camp "Photon" of the National Academy of Sciences with Education Minister Andrei Ivanets. The event took place today as part of the project "School of Active Citizen", the goal of which is to involve young people in discussing important issues of national importance and bring them closer to real management processes.
"The quality of education is our top priority," Andrei Ivanets noted. "School knowledge stays with a person for life. This worries every family, and I am sure it worries you too. Whether we are talking about the school curriculum, admission to colleges and universities, or the development of educational institutions - all this concerns everyone. Let's talk openly. The initiative is yours.
This approach immediately found a response from the children. During the lively dialogue, the schoolchildren asked the Minister questions relevant to most modern teenagers:
*What skills will be in demand in the future?
*What changes await schools and universities?
*What is the most difficult and most interesting thing in your job?
*Can an ordinary schoolchild influence the education system?
Andrey Ivanets emphasized that the key to success is perseverance, love for the work, the desire for self-development and critical thinking. He spoke about plans to modernize education: the introduction of digital technologies, strengthening practice-oriented learning and expanding career guidance work. The Minister paid special attention to physical education and a healthy lifestyle, noting that full development is impossible without taking care of health.
What makes the campaign truly popular?
Firstly, the format is open, lively, barrier-free. Teenagers do not listen to a lecture, but participate in a dialogue and feel their importance.
Secondly, campaign’s participants - meetings with heads of departments, scientists, experts give young people the opportunity to see "from the inside" how the country is structured.
Thirdly, the venue - the "Photon" camp turns into not just a recreation area, but an intellectual platform where ideas and inspiration emerge.
Many students noted: such meetings help to better understand the education system and believe that everyone can contribute to its development.
The "Step to Success" campaign proves that summer can be not only a time of rest, but also a time of inspiring meetings, important conversations and personal growth. This is what makes it truly interesting and truly necessary.
