There is very little time left before the final exams. This year, the tests will be held according to the new rules. So, in May, 11th-graders will have to pass two centralized exams, the results of which will be taken into account when setting the final mark in the certificate of general secondary education and will be counted when entering institutions of higher education. One exam - in the Russian or Belarusian language at the choice of students, the second - in a subject chosen from among the list of subjects for centralized testing, also at the choice of students (mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, history of Belarus, world history, social science, geography, English language, French, German, Spanish, Chinese).
The tasks of the CE will be in the form of tests compiled according to the basic level of the curriculum.
The Republican Institute for Knowledge Control has been identified as the institution responsible for the technological support of the CE. RIKС organizes the formation of a database of TA participants and provides access to information about the participants of the TA venues through the registration system. This academic year, 144 points for conducting a centralized exam have been formed.
The registration of CE participants in the registration system is carried out by the CE holding points together with the commission established in the institution of general secondary education. It is the commission of the educational institution that ensures control over the accuracy and reliability of the information entered into the registration system.
Recall that on April 1, the registration of participants in the centralized exam started. The children's data will be entered into the RIKZ registration system by April 20.
According to the director of the Republican Institute for Knowledge Control Yuri Miksyuk, registration for the centralized exam is quite active. “The guys had to decide on the subjects of the CE before March 1 in their schools. In fact, they still have the opportunity to clarify if someone has doubts about the subjects. We are not talking here about completely reviewing all subjects. There was enough time to determine, but there are exceptional cases when someone has studied their future specialty more carefully and there is an urgent need to change the subject. This can be done by contacting the school,” the director of the RIKZ informed.
On January 28, a trial centralized exam was successfully held in Belarus, in which more than 52,000 schoolchildren took part, i.e. almost every eleventh grader this year has already tried his hand at such a trial test. In general, all participants coped with the tasks quite well - a third of the children who passed the trial centralized exam confirmed their grade in the subject for the second quarter, one third passed the test for a grade higher than school, and one third for a lower grade.
In total 144 places received the trials. 30 places were located on the sites of universities, 60 - on the territory of colleges, 54 were based in schools and gymnasiums. The preferences of the TCE participants were distributed as follows. Most of all there were those who wanted to take mathematics - almost 20 thousand people. Biology was written by 8485 students, English - 6362. Least of all students were on the test in Chinese - 4 people.
It should be noted that on May 14, 11-graders will write a centralized exam in Russian or Belarusian, on the 21st they will take a subject of their choice.
For those who could not take part in the CE for a good reason on the set dates, reserve days and other deadlines are provided. So, the reserve day for the Russian and Belarusian languages will be May 23, for the subject of choice - May 25. Other dates are defined: in July during the reserve days for centralized testing; and also on August 21 - "Russian language", "Belarusian language" and on August 23 - a subject of choice. Thus, students who were sick on the main days of the CE (May 14 and 21) and continued to be sick on the reserve days of the CE (May 23 and 25) will be able to take the centralized exam in July.
The results of the centralized exam are issued in the form of a certificate (like a CT) with a 100-point scale. Then they are converted into a 10-point and arithmetic mean of the annual mark and the results of the CE are put in the certificate.
CE certificates can be used when entering a university, if an applicant needs a third exam, it can be taken in the form of a CT.
Special attention should be paid to the issue of final certification of hearing-impaired, visually impaired and students with disorders of the musculoskeletal system. They have the right to choose: either to take the CE and, accordingly, the CT, or to take the final exam at the USSE and the internal exam at a higher education institution. At the same time, this category of students, together with their legal representatives, must assess their ability to fill out the answer form. Other forms of answers are not provided.
Only the winners of the third (regional, Minsk city) and final stage of the Republican Olympiad in academic subjects can be exempted from passing the CE.
Winners of the third stage of the Republican Olympiad (diploma of I, II, III degree) are exempted from one CE - in the academic subject in which the student became the winner. In the certificate of general secondary education for this subject, 10 points are set.
Winners of the final stage of the Republican Olympiad (diploma of I, II, III degree) are exempt from all CE. In the certificate of general secondary education in the subjects in which the student became the winner, 10 points are set, in other subjects - the annual mark.
“Today, with the introduction of a centralized examination system, we will have a complete, objective, fair picture of the performance of absolutely every student in our country,” said Minister of Education Andrei Ivanets.
