Parental love week dedicated to Mother’s and Father’s Days will take place in institutions of general secondary learning from October 14 to 21. The week’s schedule will have events dedicated to family upbringing, responsible parenthood, interaction between a school and a family as well as to the Year of a Belarusian Woman.

Main goals of the initiative are to strengthen traditional family values, to teach young students respect towards their parents and help them understand the importance of a family in social and human lives.

Updated methodological guidelines for the “Parental love week” have been published on the National Educational Portal. Educators are offered various formats for activities, including class hours, lectures, seminars, webinars, roundtables, discussions, and training sessions.

Educational institutions may also host open days for parents, creative contests, games, sports events, social projects, and special campaigns.

Particular emphasis will be placed on joint activities involving both children and parents. Participants will be invited to watch and discuss the docudrama *Mom’s Letter* (*Mamino Pismo*) alongside a psychologist or a representative of the Belarusian Orthodox Church.

As part of this themed week, the National Educational Portal is also showcasing a gallery of drawings created by participants in the national remote-participation campaign “The Belarusian Woman Through the Eyes of Children.”

The Week of Parental Love offers an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of family traditions, strengthen cooperation between educational institutions and parents, and foster an environment for open intergenerational dialogue.
