The Ministry of Education gave recommendations on the accomplishment of studies, termination of 2022/2023 academic year and it has determined terms for holidays in 2023/2024 academic year.

In accordance with the second paragraph of article 150 of the Code of Education of the Republic of Belarus:

The academic year will end on 31 of May; and on 25 of May for students of the IX и XI (XII) grades respectively;

The academic year will end on 31 of August.

Please, pay attention that in view of the Decree of the Ministry of Education of 23 of August 2022, № 278 “On the list of academic subjects for which final tests are conducted, the types, forms and timing of final tests in the 2022/2023 academic year, mastering the content of curricula for students in grades XI (XII) will end on the following dates:

The “Last bell festivities” will take place on the 25 of May for the following groups of students: IX grade students (Х grades, where students with special needs of psychophysical development studied a five-year term at the first stage of general secondary education) XI (XII) grades of educational institutions, that realize programs of basic education, secondary education, special education program at the level of general secondary education.

Please be further advised that in 2023/2024 academic year the educational process will be organized in the following terms:

First term – from September 1, 2023 to October 28, 2023

Second term – from November 8, 2023 to December 23, 2023

Third term – from January 8, 2024 to March 23, 2024

Fourth term – from April 1, 2024 to May 31, 2024

The ministry of education established the following periods of holidays:

Autumn holidays – 10 days from October 29, 2023 to November 7, 2023 inclusive;

Winter holidays – 15 days from December 24, 2023 to January 7, 2024 inclusive;

Spring holidays – 8 days from March 24, 2024 to March 31, 2024 inclusive;

Summer holidays – 92 days from June 1, 2024 to August 31, 2024, for students who completed their studies at the second stage of general secondary education - 81 days from June 12, 2024 to August 31, 2024 inclusive.

For students of grades I-II (grades III - for students with special needs of psychophysical development with a five-year term of study at the first stage of general secondary education) in the third quarter, additional winter holidays are held from February 19, 2024 to February 25, 2024 for a duration of 7 days.
