Prior to the beginning of the 2024/25 academic year, Ministry of Education approved a resolution of June 6, 2024 “On approval of learning programs for elective classes”.
These learning programs have an aim, tasks, content, time period required to master each of the topics given and recommended means and methods of upbringing and education. Which is more, the programs describe an indicative list of skills and knowledge to be gained by students during the learning process.
Thus, the program for the "Historian's Craft" will help 9th grade students improve their skills in making a plan and structuring a text, making notes, extracts, quoting text fragments, transforming a text using new forms of presenting information, including reference diagrams, tables, drawings, and charts. The curriculum is designed for 35 hours, 1 hour per week.
During the elective classes "A Person in the World of Media: How Not to Get Lost in the Age of Fakes and Mainstreams", 8th and 9th grade students will learn to evaluate and analyze media materials of various formats taking into account their specifics, effectively and safely interact with information obtained from media sources, constructively communicate and interact in the media environment, and organize personal media space. The curriculum is designed for 1 hour per week (35 hours in 8th grade and 34 hours in 9th grade).
When studying the program of “Managing Myself, Managing Others,” students of grades X–XI will master effective forms and means of communication, acquire skills in business cooperation and self-organization, learn to act successfully in a variety of life situations both personal and professional, master the practice of business communication in the process of situational activities (meeting guests, trainings, negotiations, master classes, public speaking, etc.). The curriculum is designed for 69 hours (35 hours in grade X, 34 hours in grade XI).
While reading "Susvet Text", students of grades X - XI will acquire skills in working with texts of various types (fiction, popular science, advertising, legal, informational), learn to obtain the necessary information and creatively rethink it, create their own texts corresponding to various communication tasks (works of art and informational articles, documents, advertisements, booklets, postcards, etc.). The curriculum is designed for 69 hours (35 hours in grade X, 34 hours in grade XI).
Then there is "Financial Literacy. Analysis. Plan. Manage" on offer for students of grade IX to learn to carry out projects aimed at developing financial literacy, which will contribute to the development of the ability to apply knowledge from the financial sphere in everyday life, perform practice-oriented tasks reflecting real life situations of a problematic nature in the financial sphere, plan and carry out activities related to financial transactions of everyday life. The curriculum is designed for 35 hours in the IX grade, 1 hour per week.
Finally, "Discover the WORLD anew" is for students of the VI - VIII grades in the process of project activities in the field of working with information to learn how to correctly select an information source, master the skills of analysis and assessment of the reliability of information, learn to find and extract the necessary information to solve problem situations that arise in everyday life. The curriculum is designed for 105 hours (35 hours in each class).
