Minsk, 26 May. The most talented students and workers from all over Belarus and the EAEU member states competed at all venues of the VI Republican competition "ProfSkills Belarus 2025". The event opened on 23 May and today the awards ceremony will take place following the results announcement.
The competition was held at 7 venues open to visitors: Minsk Football Manege, the sports and entertainment complex "Falcon Club", the "National Children's Technopark", the "Belarusian State Academy of Communications", the "Belarusian State University of Food and Chemical Technologies", a branch of the "Minsk State Automotive College named after Academician M.S. Vysotsky", and the educational institution "Republican Institute of Vocational Education".
The organizers of the competition are the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus and the educational institution "Republican Institute of Vocational Education" (RIPO). Various domestic and foreign manufacturers and suppliers of equipment, materials and tools sponsored the competition.
— The event we organized with our partners is aimed at developing vocational education and popularizing industrial professions among young people, — said Vladimir Savenok, Deputy Head of the RIPO.
The contestants performed within the framework of 50 professional subjects in the field of construction, production, engineering, information and communication technologies, transport and logistics, social and personal services, creative professions and fashion.
In addition to specialists from Belarus, candidates from Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Zimbabwe and China took part in ProfSkills. More than 100 foreign participants competed in 34 events, including 5 Inclusive Skills events intended for participation by people with disabilities.
One of the participants in the floristry competition is a second-year student of the College of Crafts and Design Kedyshko Darya Bogdanovich. On the first day of the competition, her task was to design a bouquet of 51 roses.
— The composition should be asymmetrical — not just a bunch, but an arrangement in two directions. I had just one hour to perform. It’s not enough to think through the idea and choose flowers, but so far I’ve succeeded, — shared Daria.
The tasks are getting more complicated every day, but this only spurs the ambitions of the young florist. Despite the difficulties, the participant is determined. The girl admits that the competition is very serious — some competitors may be better prepared and financed, but this is not a reason to give up. Daria is counting on prizes.
The winners of the competitive competencies will receive cash prizes, medals and diplomas, as well as benefits when entering specialized universities or when moving to the level of secondary specialized education. The best will be part of the national team for professional skills and will be able to represent our country at the international level.
