Minsk, 15 December. National charity event “Our children” kicks off in Belarus. Gomel Palace and Park Ensemble serves as the main ground for the event.

The city on Sozh gathered 350 kids from various parts of the south-eastern region. Kids witnessed the start of the marathon of kindness, miracles, happiness and spells as they joined the teleconference.

The academy of good deeds unlocked its doors for students. One can easily guess that the chief professors of miracles are father of frost and his snow maiden.

"Today we begin the New Year celebrations and launch our traditional charity campaign, 'Our Children.' Soon, we will start a second state project, 'From the Heart,' which targets the elderly. It's a tradition. When a community has traditions, it means that community is a successful one. Our country has many such traditions," emphasized Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Natalya Petkevich.

One of the President's first decisions was to hold the 'Our Children' campaign as part of the state program to support and protect children. "While in the beginning it was a celebration for children who especially needed protection, who were deprived of a cozy family environment or were left without parents. Currently, it unites children and adults," the Deputy Prime Minister noted.
