Minsk, 25 April. Education Ministry announces the national project "Letter to Great-Grandfather" exactly two weeks before the Great Victory Day. From today until May 16, young Belarusians who are studying higher and secondary specialized programs will take part in it.

Everyone can address their letter to their relatives, be it a fighter in the Great Patriotic War, a home front worker or a person who made a significant contribution to the development of their native country.

The main goal of the project is to preserve the historical memory of the heroic deeds of the Belarusian people and the victims of Nazism during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, to remind us of everything that unites us and is a strong connecting mechanism for more than one generation of Belarusians.

Students of general secondary education institutions will write their letters during a single lesson dedicated to the Great Victory Day on May 7.
