The All-Belarusian patriotic project "Memory of Generations in the Name of the Future" dedicated to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of our country's liberation from Nazi invaders and the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War has been launched. The main goal is to preserve the historical truth and the memory of the heroism and feats of the Belarusian people during the years of hardship. The project is organized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus and the Republican Centre for Ecology and Local History together with the Belarusian Children's Fund.

Creative teams (students and teaching staff) of the country's educational institutions of all types have already joined the realization of various initiatives, which will be carried out this year through thematic actions. Teachers, schoolchildren, college students, students of the Suvorov and cadet schools, students and people in uniform have joined the project "Memory of Generations in the Name of the Future".

As an example, the republican action "History of Victory in Faces" involves the preparation of thematic information stands in each educational institution based on the results of meetings with participants and eyewitnesses of military events. The large-scale program includes many patriotic events.

Participants of the republican contest "Our Victory. My Story" will have to conduct a search research of family history during the Great Patriotic War, study letters, photos and literature of those years, meet in their locality with eyewitnesses of large-scale battles and inhuman suffering of civilians for the sake of the Great Victory. Then, from the material obtained, the schoolchildren will draw up a "Book of Memory" and prepare memory video projects. From military burial grounds to nameless victims. It is not excluded that during the research young people will be able to discover new or little-known pages of history about military exploits on the battlefields of the victorious generation.

Those who are fond of floristics, will be able to shine their talent in the action of landscaping and gardening "Flowers of Kindness". This involves creating garlands with their own hands for laying on the eve of significant dates dedicated to the Great Victory over Fascism, to memorial sites in every settlement of our country. Besides, the participants will be offered to create bouquets of fresh flowers for war and labor veterans and to develop flower bed projects dedicated to the liberation of Belarus.

Everyone will be able to join the All-Belarusian dictation "I will tell about the Victory. The materials for it are being developed in the State Institution "Academy of Education" of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus. The dictation will be organized on one day all over the country.

The detailed instructions for its organization will be published additionally on the website of the National Educational Portal "Patriot.by" no later than ten days before the event.

The project "Memory of Generations in the Name of the Future" will last until September 2024. The winners and prize-winners will be determined by the event results and awarded diplomas of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus.
