Deputy Minister of Education Ekaterina Petrutskaya told Journalists how to save kids from major summer dangers.

“Summer is a wonderful time when children may spend their holidays with parents enjoying rest at ponds, in forests or play in the yards. However, one shall never forget about safety. National event “Safe holidays” continues its program. Thus, in the course of the last academic days, we reminded the rules of safe rest and taught kids necessary skills” - Ekaterina Petrutskaya reported.

Teachers reminded the traffic rules, safety rules while in water and anti-fire rules. Internet communication issue was discussed as well. Kids learned how to react on spam and what warning signs must be immediately reported to their parents.

“The order of the Ministry of Education puts greater emphasis on conditions of children’s stay in camps. In the frames of control, we continue to monitor the provision of safe stay in summer recreation camps. We actively cooperate with internal affairs agencies, as well as healthcare and emergency situations agencies”. – noted deputy minister.

Despite summer, the work with parents was not put on hold. Teachers post in parental chats information materials and pamphlets about safety of children. “We pay special attention to safe behavior of small children. Summer is the season of open windows and we remind parents that it is prohibited to let your child act without parental supervision. No need to remind what tragic consequences might happen. We also remind about the necessity to follow your children when you rest at ponds and during some walks, as well as remind them of traffic rules” informed Ekaterina Petrutskaya.
