Very soon, the most demanded time will come for the employment of young people studying in educational institutions of the country.
Temporary employment of young people is organized for them to engage in socially useful work and acquire skills, adapt to work and prepare for independent entry into the labor market, as well as to improve material well-being. Giving young people the opportunity to earn extra money during the holidays is one of the directions of the state program “Labor Market and Employment Promotion” for 2021-2025.
Individual and independent employment is in demand among young people. Student teams are still popular. They give a guarantee of employment, good teamwork experience, patriotic education and guaranteed wages.
Currently, a list of facilities where young workers will do their best is in the process of development. Labor and recreation camps, student teams will work. Labor brigades are created in schools, individual employment is offered.
Deputy Head of the Main Department of Educational Work and Youth Policy - Head of the Department for Youth Affairs of the Ministry of Education Tatyana Simanovskaya is confident in the importance of each of the areas of labor activity. Thus, more than 12 thousand Belarusian students combine study and work, moreover, young people are employed both in their specialty and in temporary vacancies.
And student youth during the period of study, in addition to working in student groups, finds options for individual employment.
According to Sergey Katsko, a consultant at the Employment Policy Department of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, last year the number of minors employed in jobs financed from the Social Protection Fund increased by 5,000 and exceeded 38,000 people.
“This year we set the task of employing at least 38,000 minors. The necessary financial resources have been allocated - more than Br10 million. According to the results of the first quarter, more than 4,000 young people have already been employed - almost 1,000 more than in the corresponding period last year,” Sergey Katsko notes.
Basically, the guys are involved in the improvement of territories, the repair of equipment in educational and cultural institutions. Also, boys and girls can clean zoo enclosures, wash cars, set tables, etc.
Every year, student teams build many important residential, transport, industrial and social facilities for the country, which will serve the benefit of citizens and guests of the country for many years. The largest construction sites are indispensable without the guys in the blue-collars.
In order to gain experience and improve professional skills, about 13,000 potential members of the youth movement have already applied for work in student teams. For the work of student teams this year, 171 places for 36,455 jobs are provided.
“I hope that new employment opportunities will increase the number of young people who can realize themselves, try what work is, how to earn money yourself and then spend it profitably,” Sergey Katsko expressed his thought.
