Education Ministry has updated the list of blue-collar jobs on offer for schoolchildren to train. More than 36 thousand students in grades 10-11 will have this opportunity starting from the new academic year.
High school students will master what will be useful to them in everyday life and on their professional path. There is a wide range of jobs in demand on the labor market to choose from. Among them are a bricklayer, a gas station operator, a stove-maker, a carpenter, a cook, a car repairman, an agricultural tractor driver, a seamstress, a plasterer, etc.
As before, vocational training will be conducted within the framework of the subject "Labor training". Upon completion of training, the children will be assigned a qualification category.
In addition, a curriculum for optional classes "The World of Agriculture" has been developed and adopted. It is designed for students in grades 7-9. The children will be given an idea of the importance of the most important industry of our country as the basis of food security.
Schoolchildren will be introduced to the main branches of agriculture (crop production, livestock farming, mechanization) and the specifics of obtaining food products. The curriculum will place special emphasis on developing interest in modern technologies and relevant professions in the agricultural sector, as well as fostering respect for workers in the agro-industrial complex. Kids will practice at agricultural enterprises in the regions.
