The literary competition "BramaMar" was initiated by students of the Faculty of Journalism of BSU in 2010. In 2018, it was officially awarded the status of "national". Every year, more than 300 students, graduate students and schoolchildren from all over the country take part in the creative competition.

BramaMar aims to develop creative potential of youngsters. Students and schoolchildren in grades 8-11 all welcome to participate.

There are two categories for schoolchildren to choose “Poetry” and “Prose”. Students, besides these two categories, can additionally present their works in “Drama” and “Criticism”. Also this year, every participant can choose between two new categories – “An essay about teacher (nomination named after V.A. Kaptsev)” and “Booktrailer on a Belarusian literature masterpiece”.

Deadline for an essay written in Russian or Belarussian is March 31.

The authors who pass the selection will be offered thematic master classes and workshops to improve their literary skills. The finale will take place in May. All the participants' works will be judged by a jury of famous Belarusian writers, critics and playwrights.

The winners will receive diplomas, and all participants will receive certificates. Also, the best poets and prose writers will be able to publish their works in leading Belarusian literary and art publications.
