Minsk, 17 January. The provision of dormitories in Belarus is more than 90%. This was reported to journalists by the Minister of Education Andrei Ivanets after the grand opening ceremony of the new student dormitory of the Belarusian National Technical University for 1030 places.

The conditions in the new dormitory are almost ideal, Andrei Ivanets noted.

"Everything is for the guys. A separate kitchen in each block, conference rooms. Today, much attention is paid to the health of our guys, so there is a gym and an aerobics room. This is also very important for creative and resourceful people," he emphasized, adding that those who have shown themselves in their studies, in student teams, and competitions will be the first to move into such dormitories.

The Minister added that in Belarus, the provision of places in dormitories is quite high.

"In general, this figure is slightly more than 90% in the republic while in Minsk it is slightly less than 90%. In almost all regional centers, conditions have been created for every student to live in a dormitory," he said.
