Education Minister Andrei Ivanets took part in the opening of Youth Days as part of the International Arts Festival "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk." The ceremonial events began at the memorial complex "To the Liberators of Vitebsk – Soviet Soldiers, Partisans, and Underground Fighters."

Addressing the delegations and guests, the minister emphasized that preserving historical truth and patriotic education of the younger generation form the foundation of the state's youth policy.

"I appeal to the youth: this is not only the memory of the people. This is the living memory of your families, your great-grandfathers and grandfathers," the minister noted.

Following the official part, the minister headed to health camps in the Vitebsk district, where he met with members of student brigades. They discussed the prospects for the development of the work semester and measures to support youth initiatives.

At the same time, a plenary session was held at the Vitebsk Regional Institute for Education Development, entitled "Commonwealth Youth Time." Leaders of Belarusian youth associations, representatives of CIS youth organizations, the Belarusian Republican Youth Union (BRSM), and parliamentary youth councils discussed joint projects and current areas of cooperation.

A key event of the day was the launch of the national family marathon "Family of the Winner," initiated by the Belarusian Republican Republican Youth Union (BRSM). The project aims to strengthen intergenerational ties, preserve family traditions, and foster patriotic education.

The Youth Days program continues. Tomorrow, participants will attend the "Formula of the Future" youth platform, and the celebration will conclude with a large-scale gala concert on Victory Square.
