Academy of Public Administration, 11 December. Education Minister Andrei Ivanets, Chairman of the Higher Attestation Commission Alexander Guchok and members of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus took part in a scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of presidency.
“Human is the key figure in our country’s socially-oriented policy. All the tasks been set by our head of state have been done by the government. Every task was aimed to improve life quality, wealth improvement, economy development and give an opportunity to establish one’s self. We see that our head of state’s motto used during his first ever election campaign – “To move the country away from abyss”, this task is now more than just done. Our country travelled into space, explores Antarctica and one can see a highly-developed economy. All these shows that in state construction we did a lot in a short period of time.”- Andrei Ivanets noted.
Alexander Guchok noted that the biggest achievement for HAC is subordination directly to the head of state. “In 2022 there was dual parentage both to the head of state and to the Council of Ministers. The very next year HAC reports directly to the president. This provides for strict control over HAC’s activity, complete impartiality, fairness and comprehensiveness when considering every single work and attestation case.”
In his turn, rector of the Academy of PA, Igor Buzovski noted that evaluation of Belarus’ state system activity on an international scale confirms that the chosen strategy is the right one.
“Eighty years of piece is not the result to be discussed as low-achievement because state system and state mechanism contribute greatly towards that greatest achievement. We’ve managed to achieve these results as an independent state while facing tough challenges and desire of various geopolitical players to influence on our development strategy.”
The participants of the event spoke, among other things, about the development of model legislation of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly in the sphere of state building and local self-government, about the problems of implementing real sovereignty and ways to solve them, about the prospects for the development of digital law and much more. After the plenary session, the guests viewed the showcase "Traditions of Sovereign Belarus". The conference continued with thematic sections.
