Belarus’ President Decree awarded the honorary title of People’s Teacher to Aleksandr Feldman, a mathematics teacher at Secondary School No. 19 named after Yanka Kupala in Minsk.

This is the third ever title awarded throughout sovereign Belarus history

First was Valeriy Barashkov, a physics teacher at Mogilev regional lyceum No 1. He was awarded in 2016.

In 2025 the title was awarded to Alfred Ladyko, a mathematics teacher at gymnasium No 1 in Lida.

In 2026 honorary title of People’s Teacher to Aleksandr Feldman, a mathematics teacher at Secondary School No. 19 named after Yanka Kupala in Minsk.

The title is the highest form of recognition for pedagogical excellence and is awarded no earlier than five years after receiving the title of "Honored Teacher of the Republic of Belarus."

A.M. Feldman is one of the first educators in the country to hold the qualification category of "teacher-methodologist." He was awarded the "Excellent Worker in Public Education" badge and was previously awarded the title of "Honored Teacher of the Republic of Belarus."
