Traditionally, on Constitution Day, one of the main state holidays, the representatives of the younger generation, who despite their young age are already showing active civil position, were handed their first important document in life. In this way they acquired rights and obligations. Compliance with the provisions of the laws guarantees the protection of the interests of our country and strengthens the legal foundation of the Belarusian statehood.

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated the compatriots on the remarkable date. "The Basic Law approved 30 years ago and improved at referendums by the will of the majority of Belarusians largely determines the course of our history. Thanks to the Constitution, key institutions of state power have been created, rights and freedoms of citizens have been guaranteed," said the President in his message of congratulations.

March 15, celebrations were held in all regions of our country. It is both honorable and responsible for young men and women, because the event is timed to the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus. Young people have been receiving the main document since the age of 14 for the twelfth year in a row and have pledged to develop their native land by their labor, studies and efforts.

Schoolchildren who have achieved brilliant results in studies, sports, creativity and social life were congratulated and handed their passports today by Minister of Education of Belarus Andrei Ivanets. The ceremony was held at the Minsk Radioengineering College within the framework of the All-Belarusian action "We are the Citizens of Belarus.

The celebrants admitted that the emotions of the Constitution Day would become a personal historical moment, which would be remembered for a lifetime. The excellent students, winners of various contests, Olympiads and competitions were not left without memorable gifts. In addition to photos, each person was presented with the State Flag and the Constitution, the book "I am a Citizen of the Republic of Belarus", personally from the Minister - the book "Education in Belarus. Origins, History, Modernity". Despite the fact that the young people are now only 14 years old, while talking to Andrei Ivanets, the guys were actively interested in what professions are most in demand now and did not miss the opportunity to ask what it is like to be a leader and how his school years were, and also shared their suggestions.

Speaking to journalists, the Head of the Department emphasized: "The Basic Law is developing together with our country. Two years ago we adopted the relevant amendments to our Constitution, which reflect and emphasize our historical, cultural heritage, the most important thing - the national code of development of our country as a whole. That is why today we talked with young people about traditional family values, about professional choice, we talked about what young people are concerned about today in terms of realizing their potential. The guys asked questions about what we think young people need to do in the Year of Quality and in general in order to fulfill the expectations that are placed on young people in our country".
