The sports and cultural festival “Vytoki” kicks-off today in Pruzhany with a new expanded format. Over three years, the large-scale forum visited 19 different cities of the country and now it will be held for the 20th time.
The organizers of the festival are the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Belarus, the Brest Regional Executive Committee, ArtHaos LLC and BelBrandAudit LLC.
The organizers note that in the entire history of organizing a festival in Belarus, there has never been one as large-scale and sporty as Vytoki. On the same day, on one site there are locations with activities for almost all sports that are developing in Belarus.
At sports locations, children are greeted by Olympic champions and medalists, the best athletes of the country. Adults and children enjoy trying themselves in each sport. Many of them become a real discovery for the participants.
Guests will also have an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with famous people, the historical and cultural heritage of the city, its 590-year history, folk crafts, and the tourism potential of the Brest region.
At 19.00 there will be an official opening ceremony and one of the significant events of the festival - the presentation of a multidisciplinary skate-roller park. The first to try out the new sports facility will be multiple champions of Russia in skateboarding and participants in the Olympic Games in Tokyo Alexander Gusev, Egor Kaldikov, Alexandra Timonina, as well as the best Belarusian representatives of roller sports and the country's strongest breaking teams (LKZ and Young Generation, consisting of European champions and world 2017, champions of the Republic of Belarus).
Friday's program will end with an interactive theatrical performance with elements of Belarusian rituals and a presentation of clothing collections from Belarusian designers and manufacturers.
The central venue of the Vytoki festival on June 8 will be the Mukhavets stadium. Children under 14 years old will have the opportunity to take part in the Olympic quest. At the 26 sports fields of the Mukhavets stadium, interesting tasks in each sport have been prepared for all children. Participants will be able to show their strength on rowing machines, ride a cycling track using virtual reality, perform techniques in karate, judo, wrestling, demonstrate their mastery of gymnastic apparatus and other sports abilities. Experienced coaches, famous athletes, medalists of the Olympic Games, World and European Championships will help young athletes complete the quest.
The organizers have provided excellent gifts for participants. But to gain them, one must do the best. During the quest you need to collect 18 seals of gold, silver or bronze colors. The largest number of stamps of the same color corresponds to a specific prize: smart watch (gold), Bluetooth music speaker (silver), power bank (bronze). For those who complete all the tasks, the main prize will be drawn - a weekend tour to the Bug sanatorium for the whole family from the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus.
By the way, during the festival, tens of thousands of children won the Olympic Quest and took away prizes as souvenirs.
Also, as part of the sports and cultural festival “Vytoki”, the regional stage of the intellectual tournament “Vytoki-quiz” will be held for students of grades 8-10 of general secondary education institutions who came from 20 districts of the Brest region.
The tournament will determine the best in knowledge of the history of the Olympic movement and Belarusian sports. The winners of the intellectual tournament will represent the Brest region at the republican stage, which will take place in September at the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus.
Its organizers are the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian Olympic Academy, and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus.
An evening gala concert at the Mukhavets stadium with the participation of Belarusian pop stars will allow you to hear the best hits of our performers.
At the end of the holiday, everyone will be treated to a colorful light and pyrotechnic show and a disco.
The idea of the traditions of the Belarusian people runs through the entire preparation and holding of the festival. Thus, Belarus has long established itself on the world stage as a country of sports traditions. The sportsmanship of the great Belarusian champions is passed down from generation to generation. And the Vytoki festival continues the Belarusian sports tradition: it introduces children to various sports, provides an opportunity to communicate with the legends of Belarusian sports, and motivates children and parents to play sports.
As for the traditions of folk crafts, it is at the Vytoki festival that there is a large concentration of folk craftsmen. Belarusian craftsmen willingly participate in the fair and alley of Belarusian brands. Visitors can purchase the best Belarusian products, which will delight them for many years.
