MINISTRY OF EDUCATION OF THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS

A delegation from the Kunming University of Science and Technology (Kunming University of Science and Technology, Yunan Province, China), led by Professor of Biological and Medical Sciences Yang Wei Dong visited the Belarusian State Technological University. Kunming University (KMUST) – one of the most famous and prestigious universities in the world, included in the top 5% - was founded in 1954. Currently, it is attended by over 45,000 students, including foreign citizens.

During the visit the rector of BSTU Igor Voitov acquainted the guests with the main directions of the university activity, educational programs and scientific directions. In turn, the guests presented information about Kunming University, its faculties, undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programs, as well as on the possibilities of training for Belarusian students.

First Vice-Rector Alexander Tsyganov suggested that the Chinese delegation develop a road map for cooperation and reflect in it all possible directions and forms of joint activities, including the implementation of academic exchanges, the preparation of educational programs in the "2 + 2" system, joint scientific research, the exchange of teachers to teach Russian and Chinese, etc.

At the end of the visit, the Chinese guests visited a number of laboratories of the Department of Biotechnology and Bioecology and the Center for Physical and Chemical Research Methods.
