The work of the education system on the construction of educational facilities and the development of funds allocated for these purposes was considered today in the form of a videoconference at a meeting of the collegium of the Ministry of Education with the participation of the central office of the department, heads of the main departments for education of regional executive committees and the chairman of the education committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee as well as rectors of capital and regional universities ".

Opening the meeting, Minister of Education Andrey Ivanets focused the attention of the speakers on a detailed presentation of the state of affairs on the objects and suggested discussing not only the problems that had arisen, but also ways to solve them.

According to the Deputy Minister of Education Sergei Rudy, the State Program "Education and Youth Policy" for 2021-2025, approved by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus, plans to build and reconstruct 129 educational facilities in 2023.

In accordance with the State Program, 46 educational facilities are planned to be put into operation in 2023. In turn, the regional executive committees and the Minsk city executive committee have planned the construction and reconstruction of 99 educational facilities this year. Within the framework of the State Program, they will commission 39 facilities.

Sergei Rudy stressed that the Ministry of Education is constantly monitoring the implementation of measures to reduce the number of facilities in excess of construction in progress.

Meetings are taking place in the department and at construction sites with the participation of customers, design, general contracting, contracting organizations and other interested parties, decisions are made to increase the pace of construction.

As of April 1, 2023, the Ministry of Education had 16 objects of excess construction in progress. At present, work on seven of them has been completed.

During the meeting of the board, its participants were also informed that, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus “On the State Program for Innovative Development of the Republic of Belarus for 2021-2025”, the Ministry of Education is the customer of the innovative project of the State Program “Creation and organization of activities of innovative production center for the production of medical devices. Among the implementing organizations are BNTU, RIUE "Scientific and Technological Park of BNTU "Polytechnic". The implementation period is 2016-2024, and reaching the design capacity is December 2024.

Other important issues were considered at the board, including: the construction of educational facilities within the framework of the State Program "Education and Youth Policy" for 2021-2025, the State Investment Program, investment programs of regions and districts", use of funds from innovation funds in 2023.

Among the priority decisions of the collegium are the personal responsibility of employees of the main departments of education of the regional executive committees and the education committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee for the timely and reliable provision of information on the construction and reconstruction of educational institutions within the framework of the State Program "Education and Youth Policy" for 2021-2025; ensuring control over the allocation of financial resources for the construction (reconstruction) of educational facilities within the framework of the State Program; taking measures for the full disbursement of funds under the State Investment Program provided for in 2023 for the construction (reconstruction) of educational facilities.
