On the eve of Constitution Day, an international book fair opened in the Belarusian capital. This tradition is more than 30 years old. As in previous years, the large forum widely presents publications of the educational sphere. 2024 was not an exception and already on the first day of work the stands of the specialized department gathered thousands of visitors.

The Ministry of Education is a partner and co-organizer of the XXXI Minsk International Book Fair. Educational institutions of our country, as well as subordinate publishing houses actively participate in the key events of the program.

This time the National Exhibition Center "BelExpo" hosted the whole "Educational Quarter". This location does not just present book products, but lays a special deep meaning in communication with visitors.

The educational area has one of the most representative exhibitors of the fair. Every year there is a huge number of visitors of different ages and professions. These days you can find information to your liking and communicate on various topics with representatives of those educational institutions and publishing houses that are of most interest, as well as become the first readers of completely new publications.

For example, the publishing house "Adukatsiya i vykhavanne" will present the books "Children about the Constitution", "Children about Elections", the latest issues of "Ryukzachok", "Vyaselki", "Busi". For young Belarusians it is an opportunity to look through the magazines, to find a lot of useful and educational information, to answer the questions of the interactive quiz. The youngest visitors are invited to take part in a win-win lottery.

Also at the stand of the publishing house visitors will have a fascinating insight into the book "Education in Belarus: Origins, History, Modernity". The pages contain the professional fates of significant personalities in the sphere of national education, the main things about the formation of national pedagogy, the main achievements of the modern national model of education.

The main symbols of our state and their significance, as well as architectural pearls of the native land, the heroic past of the Belarusian people will be familiarized with the compact books for young readers "I am proud!/"Ya ganarusya!".

This proves that socially significant and patriotic projects dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from Nazi invaders, the Year of Quality, anniversaries of the Belarusian literature classics go far beyond universities, colleges, schools, kindergartens and become one of the most popular on the international platform of the book fair in the very heart of the country. In fact, often pupils and students themselves help to open new pages of history, create a kind of chronicle of their land, strive for the development of the place where they were born.

The publishing house "Narodnaya Asveta" prepared presentations of new editions with meetings and autograph sessions of the authors. Among them are "The Triumph and Tragedy of the Kazey Family", "We Remember Their Names. Heroes of the War Years", "Remember Their Names. Outstanding People of Belarus", "Stolen Childhood".

Teachers and parents of preschoolers are offered to take part in master classes at the fair. They are organized by the authors of educational and methodical manual " Learning interestingly, learning with a soul!". And for young Belarusians of the senior preschool and junior school age there will be presented the book "Where My Belarus Begins", which conveys love for the Motherland.

The Academy of Education presents teaching and methodical manuals on topical issues of special and inclusive education. Their content is based on the results of scientific research.

The stand of the National Children's Educational and Recreational Center "Zubrenok" presents the republican project "Relay Race of Memory "Liberation". This location speaks about preserving its national traditions in the language of respect for the historical and cultural heritage of the Belarusian people.

The National Children's Technopark invites visitors to the exhibition with promising projects in robotics, CAD engineering design, and UAVs. It also offers everyone to take part in the quiz "Atomic Sprint" and "Physics for Dummies", a game based on the exhibit "Knowledge Detector".

The National Centre for Art Creativity of Children and Youth organized a cultural and educational virtual tour for teachers of additional education within the framework of the exhibition. Talented and gifted Belarusians prepared a lot of creative performances for all visitors of the exhibition.

How to develop an effective youth project in our country and implement it to the fullest extent "Green Schools" are ready to share at the stand of the Republican Center for Ecology and Local History. This platform will also offer to pass through the "Memory Routes" with the help of thematic projects, as well as to cognize one's own region.

The Republican Institute for Vocational Education has prepared new printed and electronic educational publications. Some of them will allow to learn mediation based on cases based on literary plots.

The exhibition presents dozens of new publications and teaching aids from the sphere of education, as well as a large-scale interactive program in which every visitor can take his or her place. The country's universities are also presenting their highly intellectual products. It is also about the literary works of students. Representatives of different countries, who receive higher education in Belarusian universities, reflect the experience of studying in Belarus in a single exposition.

In general, the XXXI International Book Fair gathered in Minsk more than 500 participants from 20 countries. Among them are China, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Brazil, Venezuela, Germany, Egypt. There are 3 more exhibition days ahead. Up to March 17, readers can immerse themselves in the world of books, and exhibitors can share their experience with colleagues and make new contacts. During these days a poetry bus will traditionally run from the metro station "Nemiga" to the exhibition center at 14 Pobediteley Ave. Contemporary writers will read their works to the passengers. This means that on the way to the exhibition-fair you can immerse yourself in a special atmosphere and tune in to the literary mood.
