September 28 is the day of awarding the winner of the republican pro-skills competition “Teacher of the year of the Republic of Belarus”.

Fifty six contestants of various experience level reached the final of the Republican competition. Currently in the regions, the teams do a large scale work for participants to be prepared for the final stage which is about to start two weeks later and end on September 28.

The would be winners will compete in various nominations scheduled in the program, such as: lesson in a new class, master-class, solving pedagogic problems etc.

The participants have already passed through trainings dedicated to acquainting with each other and gave master-classes.

Last time this wonderful event took place in 2020.

The event became an important one in the lives of the teachers because for them it is a new motivation for development, a school of professional growth and a mean of public recognition.

There will be a festival “Pedagogical debut” held alongside the republican competition. There are not many but four nominations: “Young teacher”, “Young educator”, “Young head of institution of general secondary education”, “Young pre-school principal”. This festival allows teachers to show their professional skills, knowledge, abilities and exchange their experience with colleagues.

The events of the "Teacher of the Year" competition will be held on the grounds of the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank, Minsk State Linguistic University, the Industrial and Pedagogical College (a branch of RIPO), the Academy of Postgraduate Education, and other educational institutions in Minsk. The grand final of the competition will take place on the stage of the National Center for Artistic Creativity of Children and Youth. The winner is about to be crowned at the solemn meeting dedicated to Teacher's Day at the Palace of the Republic on September 28, 2023.

The events of the festival "Pedagogical Debut" will be held on the grounds of the Academy of Postgraduate Education and institutions of general secondary education in Minsk.
