The directions of digital transformation of processes in the education system for 2023-2025 were discussed today by the participants of the meeting of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Communications and Informatization, which took place on the basis of the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics.

The meeting was attended by: the leadership of two departments; representatives of the Operational Analytical Center under the President of the Republic of Belarus; republican government bodies, other state organizations subordinate to the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Communications and Informatization; heads of structural subdivisions of regional, city executive committees exercising state powers in the field of education; heads of structural subdivisions of the apparatus of the Ministry of Education.

During the meeting, information was announced that the Ministry of Education had developed and approved the Concept for the digital transformation of processes in the education system of the Republic of Belarus for 2019-2025, which defines the main goals, objectives, directions and boundaries of the digital transformation of processes in the education system of the Republic of Belarus until 2025.

According to the Concept, the digital transformation of processes in the education system includes the following main areas: development and modernization of the information and communication infrastructure of the education system; formation of modern electronic educational content; automation of management processes.

The sectoral technical infrastructure of the education system has been created and is functioning in the Republic of Belarus. Educational institutions of all levels are provided with information technology tools (computers, multimedia tools and various types of projection equipment, copiers, system and application software). Also in the educational process there is an opportunity to use Internet services and Internet services: e-mail, remote access to Internet resources, interaction with information systems and resources, etc.

The renewal and increase in the number of computer equipment in educational institutions continues. To date, preschool educational institutions have 134 computer classes, about 15,902 personal computers. In institutions of general secondary education, 4244 computer classes are open, 99.8% of institutions have access to the Internet. More than 43% of general secondary education institutions use the online services "Electronic Diary / Electronic Journal" provided by LLC "Educational Systems.
