Belta, June 27. Experts discussed current trends in the development of preschool education system, its accessibility, and the issue of personnel training and advanced training of teaching staff.
Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of General Secondary and Preschool Education - Head of the Department of Preschool Education of the Ministry of Education Albina Davidovich reported that in 2023, there were 3,750 educational institutions in the country implementing the educational program of preschool education, including 2,795 direct preschool education institutions, with 355.7 thousand students.
To ensure accessibility of preschool education, new kindergartens are being built and existing ones are being significantly updated.
Preschool education curriculum was developed taking into account the requirements of the Code of the Republic of Belarus on Education and the educational standard for preschool education. The key direction is the diversified development of the personality of a pupil of early and preschool age in accordance with his age and individual capabilities. Based on a variety of educational content, nurses teach children a humane attitude towards themselves and the world around them, emotional responsiveness, the ability to empathize, and help them to develop the desire for independent knowledge and reflection.
During the meaningful conversation, the parties also discussed the introduction and use of modern innovative technologies in the preschool education system, experimental and innovative activities. It was noted that currently preschool educational institutions of the republic are participating in the implementation of 4 experimental and 9 innovative projects.
The topics of experimental and innovative projects are very diverse. Topics under consideration include:
1. Testing the multi-level content of education for pupils with special needs of psychophysical development, taking into account the principle of inclusiveness;
2. Introduction of a model for the formation of a culture of interpersonal communication among children of preschool and school age based on the Orthodox traditions and values of the Belarusian people in conditions of state bilingualism;
3. Introduction of a model for the formation of a culture of interpersonal communication as a factor in creating a conflict-free space in an educational institution.
Albina Davidovich drew attention to an important aspect - it is very important that work on patriotic and civic education is carried out with preschool children in close cooperation with the families of the pupils.
For teaching staff, the content of the section “Socio-moral and personal development” has been updated. During kindergarten classes, children are introduced to the basics of civic-patriotic culture.
Among the promising tasks facing the preschool education system is the creation of conditions for equal access to high-quality preschool education, the diversified development and socialization of preschool children, and the formation of their functional literacy.
Thus, a full-fledged education process is carried out at preschool education.
