“Study and work” project is about to begin in all Belarusian universities in June. It allows students to get a job related to the major they pursue before they receive their certificates.
The idea is to provide a smooth path from studies to professional career, increase staff training quality as well as fill in the economy’s need in qualified specialists.
Main terms:
*Participants: senior students undergoing practical training;
* Jobs: 140 + in various sectors of the economy;
* Format: job fares with staff-ordering companies in attendance.
Organizational preparations have been completed:
* Amendments have been made to the legal framework for student employment;
* Cooperation between universities and employers, as well as labor, employment, and social protection committees, has been established;
* A step-by-step algorithm has been developed: a list of documents and a procedure;
* Training for university staff has been conducted, and educational institutions' information resources have been adapted.
Job fairs will be held at each university throughout June. Students will be able to personally discuss employment terms, ask questions to company representatives, and apply to participate in the project.
