During this week, many universities present their faculties and specialties and conduct guidance work. High school students visit potential alma mater in order to see classrooms, school equipment and learn about conditions and possibilities of study at the University of their Choice.

Starting from October 2016 BSU realizes “BSU student for a week” project during spring and autumn holidays. The faculty of journalism was the first to implement such project. More than 1400 peoples from different regions of the country joined the project. Statistic say that more than half of participants eventually enter BSU.

This time 192 schoolchildren joined the project. They have six days to study and their schedule includes seminars, lectures, laboratory works, youth events, talks with students, teachers and university administrators. The week will end with a traditional meeting with university’s leaders and students can ask questions about admission campaign, educational activities and international cooperation, social and scientific works of students.

In total 400 applications were submitted this season to the organizing committee. The biggest number of participants goes to the faculties of journalism, international relations, philological one and BSU Institute of business. Every student of 10 and 11 grades were eligible. In order to be admitted they had to write a motivation letter and answer the crucial question “Why do I want to become a BSU student for a week”.

The 40 best students of specialized chemical and biological classes from lyceums, gymnasiums and schools in Gomel also spend their leisure time with benefit, who plunged into the real life of medical students instead of spring break thanks to the project "Student of GSMU for a week". This is the first time such a project has been carried out at this university and it is aimed at attracting motivated children with the qualities of research, cognitive and business activity who want to link their future with medicine.

High school students have already attended classes in human anatomy, microbiology, biological chemistry, visited the Student Scientific Society and became guests of the military department. By the way, in a week the students will have time to get acquainted not only with the educational process, but also take part in creative and sports events.

It is necessary to say that several students participate in another project of the GSMU – “First steps into science”. Now young researches select topics with the help of their student supervisors and learn to write scientific articles.

These days, Belarusian universities and colleges also invite high school students and their parents to visit an open discussion about the conditions for admission in 2023.

Such a meeting, for example, goes on today at the Minsk State College of Technology and Design of Light Industry, and tomorrow the following people are invited to an open conversation: State Educational Institution “Institute of Business of the Belarusian State University”; EI "Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics".
