Minsk, 20 December. Education Minister Andrei Ivanets held meeting with Omani delegation.

Among delegates were:

·        Mona bin Fahad Al-Sayeed, who is provost assistant on international cooperation at Sultan Qaboos University and a deputy chairman of the Council of Trustees at the National Oman Museum.

·        Jamal Hasan al-Musavi, who is Secretary general at the National Oman Museum.

The parties discussed expansion of bilateral cooperation in education and science in the following areas:

-         Development of direct interuniversity connections,

-         Implementation of joint scientific projects,

-         Strengthening the activities of the Omani center of Arabian language and culture at Belarusian State University.

·        The legal basis for cooperation is made of two memoranda of 2010 and 2012 as well as three agreements between Belarusian State University and Omani establishments.

·        The export of Belarusian education services to Oman has almost doubled for the 10 months of 2025.

·        This summer an agreement was reached on training of Omani doctors at clinical internship of the Belarusian State University of Medicine.

·        BSU students train at Sultan Qaboos University.

Priorities include: personnel training in medicine, addition of Belarusian universities to the list of international universities recommended for Omani, expansion of academic mobility and strengthening of intercultural dialogue.
