Teachers from Russia completed an international internship “Organization and content of advanced training in the field of public catering”. The internship have been initiated in the frames of International Treaty on Cooperation between the Republican Institute for Vocational Education and State budgetary professional educational institution of the Moscow region “Dmitrov technical school” and it lasted from January 30 to February 3 on the base of the “Slutsk State College”.
12 teachers from “Dmitrov technical school” took part in the internship. The aim of the internship was to master new methods, new technologies and new peculiarities of professional work in the public catering.
During the internship, students were able to learn modern requirements for scientific and methodological support for the training of personnel for the food industry; they mastered the new possibilities of professional cuisine, taking into account healthy nutrition; also, they were able to enhance their skills in the area of European food cooking and learned the secrets of the Belarusian kitchen.
Slutsk State College has a cutting-edge equipment. Thus, interns were able to study technologies for baking flour bakery, confectionery and culinary products, using automated systems of food preparation and get precious skills on various professional kitchen tools.
Interns also learned about traditions, national peculiarities of food cooking, ways of decorating and dispensing the most characteristic dishes and culinary products of the cuisines of the peoples of Southern Europe (Italian, Spanish, Portuguese), Western Europe (English, French, Dutch) and Eastern Europe (Russian, Chinese, Polish).
There is no need to tell that technologies of Belarusian food preparation drew the most of intern’s attention. That is to say, interns learned about national peculiarities, traditions and technologies of old Belarusian and modern Belarusian kitchens.
