Minsk, 19 May. The awards ceremony for the best of the best took place at the Republican Center for Professional Certification and Simulation Training of Medical and Pharmaceutical Workers at the Belarusian State Medical University. The winners received the coveted awards from the hands of Deputy Minister of Education Alexander Kadlubay and First Deputy Minister of Health Yuri Gorbich.

Diplomas and memorable gifts were awarded to teams from Secondary School No. 34 in Bobruisk, Gymnasium No. 1 named after Academician E.F. Karsky in Grodno, and Secondary School No. 6 in Vitebsk named after A.E. Belokhvostikov. The finalists demonstrated their knowledge and skills in providing first aid to victims of electric shock, helped with broken limbs, used their skills of transportation, etc. The tasks of the practical round were set in interactive form at three locations: "Disco", "Staircase", "Swamp".

More than 3.5 thousand students took part in the first stage of the competition, 176 teams and more than 700 participants progressed to the second stage, 40 teams and 160 students went to the third stage, and only 28 people managed to reach the final stage (4 people from each region and Minsk).

The Olympiad is held to popularize the training of first aid skills in conditions that pose a threat to human life and health, to identify and support the most capable, gifted students, and provide career guidance.

The organizers are the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education, the Belarusian Society of Simulation Training in Medicine, the Belarusian State Medical University, and the Republican Clinical Medical Center of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Belarus.
