The tournament consisted of “physics” bouts and students had to present their researches on given tasks and take the roles of adversaries and reviewers for other participants.
The judges were led by Nikolai Poklonski, Professor of the Department of Solid State Physics of the Faculty of Physics of the Belarusian State University, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Good luck to the winners of the tournament in the preliminaries for participation in the International Tournament of Young Physicists!
For information: the first tournaments of young physicists (TUF) were held at the Faculty of Physics of Moscow State University. Having the same strategic goal as the Olympiads - the search, selection and development of gifted youth, the tournaments of young physicists use a different creative tactic. One of the most important advantages of the tournament is the atmosphere of an open, uncompromising public scientific discussion, which does not leave indifferent any of the participants or spectators, it forms and tempers young physicists for further scientific work.
Since 1992, TUVs have become one of the components of the national program for working with gifted students in physics.
