Minsk, 18 December. Majority has opted for Biology during the first stage of distance learning shifts of the School of Olympiad Movement. This was reported by Angela Kudoyarova, consultant of the General Secondary Education Department of the Ministry of Education.

Two stages have already taken place in astronomy, biology, geography, computer science, mathematics, physics and chemistry. BSU employees set all the questions. "The first stage took place from 30 September to 5 October. Every participant could find the questions in the thematic section "School of the Olympiad Movement" on the National Educational Portal. Access to the questions was granted on 30 September at 10 a.m. and was available till 5 October, 6 p.m. BSU employees checked the answers. According to their feedback, a total of almost 7.8 thousand students took part in the first stage. Mogilev and Brest oblasts were the most active (almost 1.4 thousand people each) while Grodno oblast (more than 800 people) and Minsk (more than 950 people) were the least active. Biology was the top choice (more than 2.2 thousand people), and astronomy saw the smallest number of entrants (more than 200 people)," said Angela Kudoyarova.

Video analysis of the questions was posted 26 October on the National Educational Portal in the thematic section "School of the Olympiad Movement".

The second stage took place from 28 October to 2 November.
