How to spend this summer vacation with health benefits and what is necessary to ensure that every schoolchild spends his free time with maximum benefit? These questions were discussed by the participants of the republican seminar-meeting on preparation for the forthcoming summer health improvement campaign-2024. It was held in the recreation camp "Zubryonok". This meeting in the modern national complex was held under the guidance of the Minister of Education of Belarus Andrei Ivanets. The dialog of representatives from different spheres gathered more than 200 people.

Health improvement of children and youth is one of the priorities in our country. Every year the state directs about 80% of the allocated funds for preferential health resort treatment and improving the health of children.

In order the younger generation of Belarusians could not only improve their health, have a rest, but also continue the all-sided development of their talents during three summer months, the preparation of the health-improvement campaign is approached comprehensively. In addition to representatives of the educational field, specialists of the Ministries of Labor and Social Protection, Health, Defense, Internal Affairs, Emergency Situations, the Republican Center for Health and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment are involved in this work.

In 2024, new approaches to the readiness of recreation camps have been outlined in our country. It will be phased until April 20. Then, until May 25, after receiving a certificate of readiness for the recreation season.

Strengthening the material and technical base, qualitative selection of teachers (educators), food staff, ensuring the safety of children's stay, including the organization of proper balanced nutrition. Such tasks have been set before the founders of the country's recreation camps.

A program with a wide range of activities is being prepared for young Belarusians at each educational base of health improvement and recreation, with the help of which each child will be surrounded with attention and care. Special attention will be paid to the content. It will include health-improving, developmental, educational, patriotic and many other functions. At the same time, a special role is given to the introduction of innovative approaches, so that there was no time for boredom and gadgets, and activities to the liking and choice could offer both hyperactive and more restrained in the expression of the child.

Military-patriotic camps, which in previous years have gained respect and popularity among teenagers, will also open their doors on the basis of military units and formations. Only during the summer health-improvement campaign-2023 about 30 thousand children in different parts of our country spent their time in them.

During the long vacation in children's camps young men and women will join the All-Belarusian flash mob "Memory of Generations in the Name of the Future", as well as the national relay race of memory "Liberation". These projects are dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of our country from Nazi invaders and the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.

Quizzes, contests and master classes, where young Belarusians and their teachers will try to come up with their own formula of quality, will also leave no one indifferent. Besides, there will be a place for exciting and informative leisure in the scope of the excursion marathon "Children's Auto Train" and informational and educational campaign "Step to Success". Discussions, open interactive platforms and intellectual games will allow to present their initiatives and gather a team for their realization of breakthrough projects.

In total, about 400 thousand schoolchildren are planned to improve their health this summer according to preliminary applications. The organizers guarantee that a trip to the summer-2024 will give young Belarusians inspiration, a lot of brilliant ideas and positive emotions that will accompany them throughout the new school year.
