Minsk, September 30. The full-time and e-learning school of the Olympiad movement in the subjects of Astronomy, Biology, Geography, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry began its work.
The e-learning shifts are conducted by the Academy of Education jointly with the Belarusian State University and structural divisions of regional (Minsk City) executive committees that exercise state powers in the field of education.
There will be four shifts: from September 30 to October 5; from October 28 to November 2; from December 9 to December 14, 2024 and from April 14 to April 19, 2025.
First shift participants are offered to complete Olympiad tasks with a gradual increase in the level of difficulty. Access to tasks will be closed on October 5 at 18:00.
There are no age restrictions for participation.
What is the purpose of the in-person and E-Olympiad? The key point is to identify the most talented and gifted students in order to further involve them in the Olympiad movement as much as possible. As a result, the preparation of goal-oriented children for national Olympiads and national teams for international ones will be improved.
The main objectives include providing students with various educational needs with the opportunity to participate in intellectual and creative competitions; developing the cognitive interests and intellectual abilities of children; attracting highly qualified specialists from institutions of higher learning to work with intellectually gifted and highly motivated students; stimulating the activities of teaching staff of general secondary education institutions to develop the abilities of such students.
The procedure for conducting and assignments for academic subjects are posted in the thematic section of the national educational portal "School of the Olympiad Movement".
The results will be checked by teachers of the Belarusian State University from October 7 to 19. Teachers of higher education institutions will organize a video analysis of Olympiad assignments from October 28 to November 2.
It is worth noting that following the results of the remote autumn and winter shifts, the organizers will hold an in-person study shift from February 3 to February 14, 2025. Following the end of the study shift, the assignments will be analyzed in a remote format by university teachers.
