A Republican Holliday “Novopolotsk – Youth capital of the Republic of Belarus-2023” began today in eponymous town.

Among the participants of large-scale events are young people, including members of the Public Republican Student Council under the Ministry of Education, chairmen of trade union committees of students of higher education institutions, secretaries of primary organizations of the "Belarusian Republican Youth Union" of universities. The event also welcomes members of the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education, young ambassadors of the Sustainable Development Goals, Council of Working Youth, chairmen of the youth parliament at the regional (Minsk city) Council of Deputies, leaders of the youth wing of the NGO "Belarusian union of women", specialists in working with youth at enterprises.

The Holliday began with a national flash mob “Year of Peace and Creation” hosted in the Euphrosyne of Polotsk State University.

This university was not a random choice, because teachers in this university strive to support the ideas of their kids and nurture the will to create new projects that will be useful for the state and the citizens.

Within the framework of the republican forum “Belarus. Youth. Creation” the work of thematic platforms was organized, where representatives of the Council of Working Youth under the Ministry of Education, leaders of primary organizations of the “Belarusian Republican Youth Union” of universities, members of the Council of Young Scientists, young SDG ambassadors (Sustainable Development Goals) discussed topical issues of concern to young people. Among them are issues of student self-governments; support for youth initiatives in the context of educational institutions and youth organizations, as well as the place of youth in the development of domestic science.

The republican seminar-conference “Organization of work with student youth in the context of amended and updated legislative and regulatory legal acts” was very informative and its content contained a huge amount of knowledge.

Students also took part in the Republican promo-project “Choosing student brigade”. The guys learned about employment opportunities during the third working semester, and employment conditions. By the way, 42493 people were employed as part of 2910 student brigades and 19558 of them were teenagers under eighteen.

At night students can participate in an entertaining program and join “Scout” interactive quest, a quiz and a karaoke battle.

The events will last three days. Tomorrow at the Palace of Culture of JSC "Naftan" there will be a solemn opening ceremony of the republican holiday "Youth Capital of the Republic of Belarus-2023".
