April 25, today is the second day of the Belarusian People’s Congress. Belarusians voted for changes to the Constitution during a referendum and these changes gave the BPC greater powers. Now the highest body of democracy is responsible for the vectors of development of society, approval of the Military Doctrine and the Concept of National Security, and is the guarantor of the inviolability of the constitutional system, continuity of generations and civil harmony.

The future of the people and the state, the preservation of sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity will depend on the decisions made by the heads of state bodies, deputies of the House of Representatives, members of the Council of the Republic, and all delegates of the Supreme Council.

Young people do not want to break away from active life of the country. They discuss economic and political issues. A mixture of youth and experience, that’s how one can describe BPC members. Young adults possess brightest and initiative ideas for their projects and they are ready to share on the national level.

A brand new joint project “Molodezhny Shod” starts April 26. Its aim is to realize the interests of youth. The representatives of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union and of the Youth parliament under the aegis of the National Assembly will held a series of discussion platforms.

There students of the vocational, secondary specialized, higher education and working youth will consider the ways of the sovereign state development.

The baton of the first Shod will be passed to regions. Every region of the country will host discussion platforms on main theses of the socio-political life of Belarus and the state’s policy regarding youth. The platforms are about to be hosted on the grounds of institutions of learning, of culture in enterprises and companies.

Managers are sure the platform to be in-demand by young people and will help unite forces and people.

The new project is being implemented within the framework of a cooperation agreement and a joint work plan for 2024-2025 of the Youth Parliament and the Belarusian Republican Youth Union with the aim of forming the legal and political culture of young people, introducing them to parliamentary activities, unlocking potential in civil initiatives, developing draft normative legal acts, as well as decisions of local authorities on the implementation of the state youth policy of the Republic of Belarus, affecting the rights and legitimate interests of young people.

The Chairman of the Youth Parliament at the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, delegate of the VII Belarusian People’s Congress Nikita Rachilovsky emphasized the key direction of the project: “Pluralism of opinions, democracy and those theses that the youth will discuss, we, as delegates of the BPC from the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, will work on and do everything possible so that they are implemented and voiced from the rostrum of the Belarusian People’s Congress. This is a very cool project. And we will receive only good feedback that the “Molodezhny Shod” is effective and coming there is like coming to a local, district youth BPC, where it is impossible to go unspotted, unseen and without a single opportunity to speak and, which is more, you will receive support.”
