September 7, Ground-breaking technologies were presented in the Botanical Garden. The festival was quite large scale. According to the National Academy of Sciences, 22 thousand visitors took part in the event! Few thousands more than in the previous years.

This was 6th consecutive festival in our country. This year it gathered pupils from 60 schools and more than 1500 university students. Russian guests joined the event as well. The festival is expected to expand in the future. It is planned to invite scientists from China and CIS countries.

The largest number of festival visitors attended thematic areas, lectures from famous scientists, an exhibition of achievements from various fields of science, interactive scientific experiments and master classes. By the way, all activities were organized taking into account all age groups and interests.

Let us recall that the Science Festival widely featured the Ministry of Education's "University of the Future" area. It featured 26 universities, the National Children's Technopark, the Republican Youth Center, as well as OJSC "Naftan" and OJSC "BELAZ".

Young scientists demonstrated their most significant developments in the first thematic area of the "University of the Future". There, 59 exhibits were collected, as well as projects of students and graduates of the National Children's Technopark.

In the second block, guests were treated to an exhibition of new approaches to teaching students and as many as 76 master classes and quizzes, held by representatives of 23 universities, the Republican Youth Center and industrial giants.

The highlight of the third area was popular science lectures. Topics included ceramic materials for replacing bone tissue defects, the use of biomedical cell products in providing medical care in gynecology, and a media lab: how to find a needle of truth in a haystack of fakes.

In addition, the exhibition-competition “100 Innovations of Young Scientists” gathered many visitors with 145 relevant developments presented during its entire run.
