Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Ivanets has introduced the new Deputy Minister of Education Ekaterina Petrutskaya to the team. Making personnel decisions on March 11, 2024, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko agreed on her appointment to this position in the management of the ministry. Ekaterina Petrutskaya will coordinate educational and ideological work at the Ministry of Education.
At the meeting with the team, participants discussed the tasks facing the country's education system as a whole, as well as plans for the realization of the state youth policy.
In a conversation with journalists the new Deputy Minister of Education Ekaterina Petrutskaya told what will be emphasized in the future work. According to her, now it is especially important to educate the young generation of Belarusians to be real people with a big heart and, above all, with a great love for family, their country, as well as respect for history. "Educational and ideological work is extremely important, the main issues on which we should focus today absolutely everything in the field of education," she outlined.
Ekaterina Petrutskaya graduated from Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank in 2002. She is a candidate of pedagogical sciences. She worked as an elementary school teacher, deputy director for educational work at School #31 in Minsk, deputy director for educational work at School #178 in Minsk, methodologist, senior teacher, deputy dean of the faculty of professional development of pedagogical workers of the state educational institution "Minsk City Institute of Education Development".
Prior to her appointment she was the Director of the state educational institution "Minsk City Pedagogical College", of which she herself is a graduate. Here she received her education from 1994 to 1997.
