This activity is “Introduction to the Railroad Profession”. It is provided by a Decree № 11 issued by the Ministry of education on January 13, 2023. The document was officially published on the National legal website.

Students of 10 and 11 grades of the general secondary education allowed to attend the course. The program lasts 70 hours and is dedicated to introduce common duties of railroad workers to students.

The aim of this extracurricular activity is to create conditions for conscious choice of a future career. The activity includes group studies, workshops, conferences, tours and even field trips.

After finishing the program students will definitely know about the importance of a railroad transport in the national economy and passenger transportation. Also, guys will understand the essence of railroad worker’s professional activities, their main jobs and tasks and, which is more, the rule for the technical operation of the railway to ensure traffic safety.

The final lesson includes the defense of creative projects on topics studied in the framework of optional classes and a demonstration of the best works.

Upon completion of the elective, students will be able to characterize the professional activities of employees of public railway transport organizations, determine the purpose of vehicles, structures and devices of such transport.
