This year the event is held from November 11 to 15 at BNTU. Today Minister of Education opened the plenary session.

Andrei Ivanets emphasized that in the field of education, special attention is paid to the development of the startup movement, as well as the implementation of innovative projects.

“It is very important that young people when coming to science understand both their prospects and the future of the country to which they can contribute. Starting from 2025, the Ministry of Education will begin to hold separate competitions of scientific and technical projects for young scientists and allocate grants for 1-2 years, so that every young person who is engaged in science at our universities can receive practical implementation of their ideas and projects,” the Minister of Education added.

At the moment, the system of universities of the Ministry of Education alone has more than 5 thousand young scientists engaged in scientific research. Basically, such work is devoted to information and biotechnology, pharmaceuticals.
Another important aspect is the training of highly qualified scientific personnel. In this regard, the attention of the participants will also be focused on the topic of completing, designing and defending dissertations, as well as training personnel not only for universities of the education system, but also for industry science.

The organizer of the project is the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education. The main goal is to increase interest in science, popularize scientific activity and provide expert support to young scientists in organizing and conducting scientific research.

Among the listeners are established and young scientists from leading universities of the country, representatives of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, NIHE, HTP, BISI, the Republican Youth Center and the "First Information" TV channel. The participants will discuss the future of Belarusian science through the eyes of young people, its challenges and prospects, as well as the role of a scientist in improving the university's rating through scientometric databases.

In turn, the speakers will share information about the stages of dissertation defense, the Anti-plagiarism system to ensure academic integrity, innovative entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence technologies and neural networks, as well as how to use them in scientific research.
