A large-scale event - the international specialized exhibition “Education and Career” kicked-off today in Minsk. The work of the participants took place in the Falcon Club Arena at Pobediteley Ave., 20.

From March 1 to March 3, representatives of universities, colleges, lyceums, institutes of postgraduate education, and educational centers of the country will be on one site. In total there are more than 120 participants. This year, HR customers have become more active, including organizations and leading enterprises of the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Architecture and Construction, and Bellegprom.

The organizers are confident that the exhibition will contribute to the effective flow of personnel into the labor market.

Among the guests of honor are Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Vladimir Kukharev, Minister of Education Andrei Ivanets, Deputy Minister of Architecture and Construction Alexander Balashenko, Chairman of the Board of the Belkoopsoyuz Inessa Korotkevich.

This year the format of the event has been reformatted. If previously universities were predominantly represented, this time universities, colleges, and enterprises have their own exhibition spots.

Among the main tasks of the exhibition “Education and Career” are the development of national education, the effective use of human resources, promoting self-determination of graduates of general secondary education institutions in choosing a profession, informing about educational services in institutions of higher and secondary specialized education, the needs of personnel customer organizations, adaptation of vocational education institutions to the labor market, studying the needs of employers for qualified personnel.

During the opening ceremony, the Minister of Education emphasized how important it is to help young people choose an institution of learning, and in the future, the occupation of their whole life. At the same time, you need to understand that the choice of profession should not be random and thoughtless.

“Every school graduate needs to answer the question for himself: where to enter? How will I be useful to my loved ones and the state as a specialist and future leader? In order to correctly answer this complex and most important question in life, we hold a number of events: Open Days, Target Training Fairs, excursions to enterprises and our exhibition. The main thing is to interest and help you choose your life’s work, the path to your profession. The special purpose of the exhibition is to unite the efforts of institutions of learning and employers in training highly qualified specialists. The task is not new, but more relevant than ever,” added Andrey Ivanets.

What is about the exhibition? This year’s graduates will be able to communicate with potential employers, get acquainted with vacancies, assess the demand for the profession in the labor market, and find out the conditions for young specialists. It will also be useful for students to stroll through the expositions of enterprises and companies. Students will have the opportunity not only to receive advice from representatives of human resources services of organizations, but also to undergo a preliminary interview on employment issues - both for permanent and temporary work in their free time.

Among other important activities, the exhibition features interactive platforms where participants can take a trial test - a centralized exam. Additionally, career guidance testing will be conducted. In ten minutes, the young person will receive the result and, with an understanding of the matter, will be able to approach the stand of a particular university or college.
