Measures to improve organization of school meals considered in the Government

Published:29.04.2026
Measures to improve organization of school meals considered in the Government Belarusian PM Alexander Turchin held a working meeting on school meals.

The agenda included measures to improve school meals.

This issue is under constant review by both the President and the Government. The main objective is for school meals to be healthy and tasty, and for school cafeterias to operate efficiently.

Following the working meeting, approaches were developed for further improvement of school meals.

The principles for organizing single meals a day will be refined, making them the same for students in both the first and second shifts. Nutrition standards are planned to be defined for three age groups: grades 1-4, grades 5-7, and grades 8-11.

Currently, they are defined for two age groups: 6-10 years old and 11-18 years old. The use of semi-finished products in school meals will also be expanded.

All these measures are aimed at making school meals more varied, tasty, and healthy, so that every student has the opportunity to receive meals at school.
