
National Center for creative art of kids and youth will host the final stage of the 9th republican competition for the best project for the sixth school day activities scheduled to take place from November 15 to 16.
The focus is on improving the work of general secondary education institutions, institutions of additional education for children and youth in organizing the sixth school day.
The competition is attended by creative teams formed on the basis of institutions of general secondary education, institutions of additional education for children and youth, including students, teaching staff, members of children's and youth public associations etc.
The program of competitive events includes the introduction and defense of 21 creative projects. The content of competitive nominations traditionally reflects the most relevant aspects of the work of general secondary institutions, institutions of additional education for children and youth on the sixth day of school.
In 2023, the competition will be held in three categories: “In the name of peace and creation!”, “The sixth day is always in fashion”, “The sixth day from idea to implementation.”
“In the name of peace and creation!” projects are aimed at the active participation of children in projects of a civil-patriotic, historical-local, military-patriotic nature, and a project for young people to gain experience in expressing their civic position. Projects help familiarize students with national traditions, the cultural and historical heritage of the Belarusian people, involve them in search and research work to study the history of their region and country, form a value-based attitude towards the Motherland, and an understanding of the importance of preserving historical memory.
“The sixth day is always in fashion!” is focused on involving students in various types of creative, socially significant activities, teaching skills and abilities of correct behavior in extreme situations, promoting the values of a healthy lifestyle, instilling respect for the culture of the Belarusian people, their rich history through tourism, local history and excursion activities.
A variety of creative ideas in projects and approaches to organizing the sixth school day in the category “Sixth Day - from Idea to Implementation” contribute to the formation of students’ information culture, develop their critical thinking, teach the ability to navigate information flows, and also promote informed professional choice.
Content requirements include the current social and practical significance of the project and a clear presentation of the material. Project work should be based on modern scientific materials on the chosen topic and contain examples of effective experience in educational work in an educational institution.
Currently, the Academy of Postgraduate Education has received projects that have been selected at the regional level for expert evaluation.
Winners will receive a diploma from the Ministry of Education and memorable gifts.
