The winners of the University Olympiads (1st,2nd,3rd degree diplomas) will receive an opportunity to bypass the entrance exams. This is a new feature of the 2023 admission campaign.
This is a new way for talented and gifted youth to enter the Institutions of Higher Education. This rule is set forth in a new edition of the Rules for Admission of Persons for Obtaining General Higher and Special Higher Education, approved by the Head of State.
According to the Decree of the Ministry of Education #264 on 12 of August 2022, in order to support universities, located in our district and regional towns, it was decided that the 2023 University Olympiads be in 18 regional institutions of higher education with 20 school subjects available to choose between. “Math and Biology” are the top two for students, however, “Labor training”, “Physical Education”, “Art’ and “Geography” are not lagging behind the seem-to-be-uncatchable leaders.
The Olympiads stole enough attention from graduates with more than 6 100 ready-to-compete school students joining the preliminary stage.
The finale spans through the last two weeks of February. The judges of the corresponding universities allowed 3 800 students in total to continue their way and try to achieve the desired.
This last weekend (18 and 19 of February 2023) saw 1 675 students taking on the tests in 15 various institutions of higher education.
All the tests have been checked and the results are available on the official websites of the universities. The organizing committee needs three working days to choose the winners during their sessions.
The finale will last from 20 to 26 of February 2023.
The confidentiality of the preparation, use and storage of Olympiad materials using encryption and data protection programs, the creation of transparent and objective conditions for holding university Olympiads at all stages is ensured by the educational institution "Republican Institute for Knowledge Control".
