In the research center of the Academy of Education, specialists have developed educational and methodological complexes of elective classes that are aimed at opening up new opportunities for youth’s self-expression and realization.
The educational and methodological complexes include: a curriculum for elective classes, didactic materials for students with the texts necessary for work, as well as recommendations for the teacher. They are based on pedagogical navigation of competent support and management of the educational process.
The content of each of the materials is addressed to a separate type of functional literacy - reading, mathematical, natural science, artistic and aesthetic. The main condition for organizing the process of its formation is project activity. Thanks to it, students can gain new integrative knowledge and demonstrate it in specially organized pedagogical conditions.
The inclusion of new elective classes in the educational process is a promising pedagogical investment in the future of the younger generation and society as a whole. Their development is intended to help Belarusian schoolchildren master the necessary functional tools for successful self-development and professional self-determination in the modern world.
